About me
For me, being a celebrant feels like a natural fit.
My career has been an interesting and varied one – the majority of it spent working in advertising agencies as a client service/account manager. When my children were young, I consulted for a number of years in cause-related marketing and then I bought an after-school art education business which I owned and managed for 10 years. I now work part-time managing a professional association.
I became a celebrant in 2023 and on a wet windy Saturday in Wellington, I had the honour of officiating my first wedding for my son and now daughter-in-law (pictured above!). For all that the weather misbehaved, everything else went fabulously. Their wedding was casual, relaxed and filled with love and laughter. It was real, it was authentic and it was a huge amount of fun!
I have attended two courses with the Celebrants Training College – “Marriage Celebrancy and the Law” and “Excellent Ceremonies and Business” and I am a registered independent celebrant. My style is professional but warm and informal.
Outside of work, being a celebrant and spending time with family and friends, my greatest passion is golf! I have to say, if time allowed, I would be a golf-tragic!
While the choice to become a celebrant happened quite by chance for me, it feels like a natural fit! And that’s what your celebrant should be - a natural fit for you.
If you’re getting married in the Taupō area, I’d love to help make your day fit your dreams.
